How to Use a Head First Book to study

  • Slow down. The more you understand, the less you have to memorize
  • Do the exercises. Write your own notes. Use a pencil. Physical activity while learning can increase learning.
  • Read the "There Are No Dumb Questions". They're part of the core content.
  • Drink water. Lots of it. Dehydration decreases cognitive function
  • Listen to your brain. If you're starting to skim or forget what you just read, it's time for a break.
  • Create something. Go beyond the book.
